-Allen I. Lewis Forest - Hopkinton, NH
Find the intersection of Routes 13 and 77. At this intersection, take Jewett Rd, which is unmarked. From that intersection, travel 1.2 miles to a small dirt parking lot on your left. If you see the Wildlife Sanctaury sign, which is also on your left, you have gone to far. Once in the parking lot, you will notice a stone with a Allen I. Lewis Town Forest plaque on it. From this stone, to its right will be a trail. Follow this trail over the bridge, through 2 stonewalls until you come to a "T" intersection. On your left will be a mailbox for the Wildlife Sanctuary. Take that left past the mailbox. The trail becomes rocky and may be a bit muddy. Follow the trail and the past the scary tree on your right and take the right turn following the yellow arrows. Cross over 3 wooden bridges, 1 of which that is actually over a small stream. Now find the stonewall. From this wall count 11 yellow markers, only counting 1 of the yellow markers located on the tree with 2. Just past the 11th marker on your left will be a huge tree attached to a dead sister. Around the side closest to the 11th marker with be the "Whistling Weasel" under a piece of wood. Rehide as you found it.
He should be whistling for you. What!? He isn't whistling? I know what you need to do! Sing your way down the trail to a hole in the stone wall behind the red marked "V" tree, at the intersection of red and yellow. There you go, Now he is whistling!
This place seems to be out in the middle of nowhere, so I don't think you should have to worry about people, but I do ask that you replace these boxes back in hiding as they were your own. Thank you.
