On Thanksgiving Day, while we had Turkeyboxing Day, they found ourselves searching for boxes in the Willand Pond Recreational Area. We parked in the lot provided and began reading the clues to find our 1st box. Standing at the orange gate we were to start. Up ahead we happened to notice something running around like something was wrong. It began to run towards us and as it got closer, we noticed it was a turkey. This wasn't your ordinary turkey it seemed. It didn't speak or anything, but it was holding a sign that read "Pardon Me". We stated that there was nothing we could do, and the turkey ran off down the trail. We ran after the turkey with much confusion. It is not everyday that a turkey goes running around with a "pardon Me" sign. We followed the turkey around a sharp left turn in the trail. As we rounded the bend, we noticed the picnic tables up ahead. The turkey had made it all the way to the tables but was heading again towards us. About half way between the picnic tables and the sharp left bend, the turkey stopped. The turkey looked left and bolted into the woods hiding under some man made rocks. We followed the turkey to those rocks and as we bent over to see if the turkey was actually there, we heard "Shhhhhhh! Don't tell anybody I'm here!" Being a bit weirded out by the whole situation, we left the turkey alone. Not ever telling anyone about the story, until now. Well and now you know. So don't tell anybody he is there.
